I feel like something is missing
A piece that was never there before
Something that I should have had but never known
Its absence forms a hole in my heart
Without this missing piece my world is off balance
The sun is never as bright
And the icy wind cuts through me
As cruel and unyeilding as a blade
Every day is somehow incomplete
I feel as if someone has taken a part of me and cut it away
My hope is running out
I fear I will never find this missing piece
But then I see you and the sky brightens
And I realize that you were what was missing all along
My world is now complete

This is what happens when its nearly 12:00 on Thanksgiving and I am totally out of ideas. Not exactly my best work either... Oh, and for anyone who is wondering, this poem is about a book i was reading.
